Keidra Chaney and Barbara Iverson met at Chicago Bloggers Meetup and worked on several blogging projects, including workshops for the Girl Scouts and the National Women Studies Association and the Illinois Network of Charter Schools.
Barbara Iverson has been an educator for longer than the Internet has been around, and a blogger since 1999. At Columbia College Chicago, Iverson was a pioneer in interactive multimedia, moving from CD-ROM’s to the Web. She wrote and taught the first online classes for the journalism department. Barbara Iverson is web maven and co-publisher of Chicagotalks.org, a community and citizen news site, and the organizer for Chicago Bloggers Meetup.
Keidra Chaney is Emerging Media Specialist at DePaul University, working on social media initiatives for the Office of Advancement. She blogs at The Learned Fangirl. She also writes for online and print publications, including ALARM Magazine, Chicagoist.com, Venuszine.com, Time Out Chicago, Centerstagechicago.com and more. She’s spoken at MIT and University of Michigan about writing and online culture. She is also a board member and web consultant for Teaching Artist Journal.
